The Boker Kalashnikov is inspired by the Kalashnikov rifle. This one has a black-finished, D2, dagger blade and a black aluminum handle with black hardware and a black, deep-carry pocket clip. Its handle is contoured to feel great in your hand and promises a secure grip with jimping on its top and bottom. The Kalashnikov honors its namesake with a build you can count on.

Just got this knife, I talked with the people at Grindworx. The lady I spoke with was really nice. As I have only had the knife for approx. a week, I can only tell you so much about it. The thing is made really well. When you take it out of the box you know you have a nice piece of equipment :) It opens with a smack and you better hang on to it!! Very, Very sharp and strong feeling! This knife is well put together. The adding on of the automatic opening, well I can't say a lot about that, except that it opens really strong and fast!! The only thing that kind of bothers me is the conversion to auto and it voids the factory warranty, so Grindworx gives you a one year warranty. I will get back with you in a year or sooner, if problems start to happen, but like I said this thing feels like it is really put together, so we will see. I recommend to buy it!! Worth the chance. It is really a nice knife!!

I purchased this knife from Bladeplay in June 2011 and it has been my daily carry for nearly 7 years now. It is by far the best knife I have ever owned and it has really stood up up to the daily abuse of cutting and prying. It has never failed me and the only reason I am replacing it is for appearance - It still operates flawlessly, but the black has worn through in several places from daily wear. What a great value! It far exceeded my expectations and it is still a perfectly good knife so I am going to throw it in the tackle box.... it will likely last forever. I am, of course, replacing it with another Boker Kalashnikov Automat 74... this time in damascus.

This is my 4th Kalashnikov and I love these knives.The shape of the handle is great you can hold it in both conventional and reverse grip.It has jimping on the handle for your thumb in the reverse grip someone was really thinking when they designed this knife.On Every one that I have bought the blade has come razor sharp.When you hit the button the blade absolutely fly's out of the handle with a very satisfying THWACK very cool If your looking for an affordable automatic knife don't hesitate just buy it.
