First off I'll say this is a great knife. It's now my edc over my Griptilian. Both are well made and trustworthy. I just don't like the price hike because they are discontinued. I've watched this knife for a long time. When the price went up I knew something was up. Benchmade dropped the HK line so when these are gone that's it. So get one now at $129 before your stuck with a $300 price tag for the butterfly on the blade instead of the HK logo. I wish I would had bought sooner.
Just what I wanted!
I had a Kershaw Launch 5. The problem was that it did not always lock when the button was depressed. Obviously not a safe feature. The H&K 1470BK Entourage has never failed to lock. I have even tried to hold the button too long to see if this problem exists with the knife and it never failed on me. The locking mechanism it comes with on top is to secure the knife in your pocket so there will be no accidental openings. This also is not featured on the Kershaw. Though the option to use the safety switch is there, I do not use it as I have never had any problem with accidental openings. Also, I have tried to pull the blade open with my hand without depressing the button and it will not budge. No opening this knife unless you mean too. The only thing I would add is the ability to change where the pocket clip is located. It is taking some getting used to for me to remove the knife and then put it back in my pocket. The set up is different than I am used to and I wish I had the option of moving the clip. However, that is my personal preference and in no way takes away from the over all perfection of this knife. I love it and bought two. One for a friend that collects H&K...Very pleased with my purchase!!! One more thing...Blade Play was easy to deal with and their turn around time on free shipping is much quicker than I expected...I have found my knife home!
Outstanding knife!

I am very pleased with the HK I bought from blade play! Great Benchmade quality at an affordable price! I researched other sites and Bladeplay had the best price on this particular model. Years ago I had the benchmade name brand on this same knife instead of the HK name brand. But as far as I can tell they are the same model knife I had in the late 90s. Even back then I paid $150 for this same knife! The only difference I can see is this one has the ceracoat which I believe protects the knife better anyway! 5 stars all the way on this one. Great job Bladeplay and Benchmade/HK! Great Price!
