Linder has an entire line of Bavarian Folklore Knives. These are vintage knives, a great find for any collector!
This particular style of Bavarian Folklore knives has a handle of real Mountain Goat Horn that tapers elegantly towards the blade, with a smooth, concave ricasso to keep your hand from sliding. The silver-nickel bolsters are embossed with an oak leaf design and the inscription "WEIDMANNSCHEIL" (good hunting). Silver-nickel is very soft in color, pleasing to the eye, and the nickel helps reduce the tarnishing which plagues true silver. The blade is stainless steel with a drop point, filework, and a flat-ground, plain edge; the hunting scene etched on one side of the blade lends additional elegance to this Bavarian knife.
The leather sheath has a metal throat and chape (top and tip of the sheath), also of a silver-nickel allow with an oak leaf pattern. Almost medieval, this is a knife fit for a king!
Please Note: Because the handles are of natural horn, actual appearance may vary.
