Scoundrel Black Butterfly Knife - Black Plain

This is a really good quality Balisong if you are new I would recommend this knife.

It's like they ran out of paint or got lazy because the bottom holes on both sides are silver and not black like the rest of the knife. The paint is also chipping on the latch. Really not happy with this purchase!

This is surprisingly a very high quality knife for it's price. The tang pins are not screws so you don't have to worry about them falling out. The pivot pin is amazingly strong and durable. The polish doesn't come off when the handles come into contact with it. The polish also doesn't come off the handles when held which keeps it in pristine condition. This knife is worth every penny. I would highly recommend this knife for anyone trying to expand their knife collection on a budget.

Very nice knife, a little on the heavy side. Safety is a little loose, doing excessive tricks can lead to some paint wear on the edges, due to the closing action, but all in all, it's a very strong and durable knife. EXCEPT. On the rivets, there is a metal widening/pressed down and flattened against the metal at the end to keep from sliding out. But only on one side. On the other side, there is no way of keeping the rivets from sliding out. This may have been on purpose for fluidity, I don't know, but if you're fanning or something, and a rivet falls out, something could go flying.

This is a nice knife. Probably the toughest butterfly your gonna get for less then a 100$. I've broken 5 different butterfly knifes trying to find one that holds up. This is the one. The handles are where the money is with this knife channel design stainless steel. They even feel good in your hand.the pins are a bit undersized compared to other knifes but pins rarely brake so not much oof a concern. On the knife I got the latch pin was not hammered properly but that was a quick fix. The only problem with the knife is the balance is truly terrible. It's built with an 1/8" thick blade which does not have enough weight to balance out the heavy handles. There is a serious learning curve if your coming from a lightweight knife. All in all I'm glad I got it. And a very happy with this knife. And very happy with bladeplay. They sent me band aids with the knife, nice to know they care.

Exactly as advertised. I have read the other reviews that some people say it's not sharp, some people say it is sharp. My knife arrived in 3 days, and it is VERY, VERY, SHARP...!!! I am super happy with this purchase, I have $60-$80 balisong knives, that are not as nice as this...it flips smooth, especially, a person would be stupid not to purchase for only $13.... Buy it!!!!!

Very heavy, which I kind of like, but that makes some tricks difficult. I've gotten cut a few times doing aerials, which means it's sharp. It's no Benchmade, but it's great quality for $13. Solid deal for a beginner.

It's a thick knife and has weight to it, so I caution newcomers to the art of balisong tricks. However, if you are thinking about buying it, do it, it's a great deal. Overall a solid balisong for a solid price, no complaints. And the shipping was quick and easy.

It has good weight and is built solid unlike a lot of other ones under 16 bucks do your self a favor and get this one.

Great knife overall came pretty dull but nice. One thing is the tang pin might come loose so super glue it back together. Overall great!

I've had this knife for awhile now. Currently it is my main knife to flip. Holds together very well, but a bit on the heavy side. Which for beginners is usually not good because your knuckles can get bruised up if you don't know how to flip. Overall a great buy for the price and would recommend it any day.

I have dropped this thing so many times and it still works. It comes out the box in good shape and sharp and the paint really holds up.

I bought a silver one of these 5 months ago. It worked perfectly then and works perfectly now! I flip it all the time. I like the pin construction (In my opinion that is the best when buying cheep butterflies). Its a bit on the heavy side but I'm used to it by now. Since the blade is only 440 steel I don't recommend using the blade for every day use because it dulls fast. I just bought the black tactical version. Nice look to it! The paint will probably wear off in time but it is still a really cool knife.

the knife came in good time looked good but couldn't figure out why the blade wouldn't land straight up and not to the side then I noticed it came without a bolt that holds knife straight up while open. Only complaint came without a main part.

I love this website and everything I've bought here, this was my first butterfly with a real blade it was great for the price good metal good blade and I love how it had pins instead of screws.

Very sharp blade. Really heavy metal too. It's not bad for the price but I wouldn't buy It again. The action is too stiff for a butterfly knife. I haven't tried oiling it yet, but I shouldn't have to in the first place in my opinion. There isn't any room between the blade and the handles, therefore, causing a lot of friction. It even squeaks when I flip it. You have to apply more force than necessary for the knife to be able to do what you want it to do. If you want a decent knife, go with something else
