This awesome Frank B. tactical stiletto with great automatic action comes with simulated briar wood handle scales and tactical black bolsters. The dagger blade is coated in black Teflon and looks impressive. The blade tang is stamped "FRANK B ITALY." The tactical release button gives swift action to the blade. This seems to be Frank B's nod to technological change in that it uses tiny screws to hold the scales and the rear bolster. Only the blade hinge appears to be a solid pin. For those with tiny screwdrivers and the confidence, partial disassembly seems possible for say, replacing the main spring - if ever needed.
Finish is painted blade and the scales appear to be composite, wood patterned material, but all very tightly assembled. The blade came Frank B. sharp and when deployed locks up slightly over-rotated, but tight. The release bolster moves easily and blade unlocks clean. The safety came on the tight side which seems common on Italian switchblades, but I expect it to loosen up with cycles.
Overall this is a well-built knife, fits the pocket, is slender, and is perfectly carryable.
