There is a ridiculous amount of blade play, and yes while some blade movement is normal this far and above exceeds what one would consider normal...
The scales on this knife feel like cheap plastic. NOT FRN, NOT G10, OR POLY...BUT FISHER PRICE MADE FOR A TODDLERS TOY PLASTIC. While I will hold faith that maybe they are in fact walnut and just have some strange coating on them...I'm honestly still doubtful. Their smooth texture makes firing the blade with the side button feel uncontrollable. It feels as though the knife is going to suddenly become a shuriken when the blade makes contact with the stopper...
This brings me to the action...which is possibly the worst I've ever seen. The action on this blade is just...well...wrong. it feels like it's far too much hit for a knife of this low quality. I don't honestly seeing this thing last very long.
While there were issues with the purchase of this knife, maybe they had some sort of influence on this review, I feel I am being mostly unbiased here.
There is ONE good thing about this knife. That is the gold engraving work done on the bade. It seems to be of a high-ish quality and looks to be done well.
However, the cons highly outweigh the pros of this knife. In summary...it just feels like a cheap POS.
This Russian automatic will be the last Russian auto I buy. Period. The Boker Kalashnikovs I own are quite frankly of much higher quality. And they are $100 less than the cost of this knife.
Avoid this knife. Do yourselves a favor and get a kalashnikov.
