Mini D/A OTF Lighter OD Green Automatic Knife - Refillable Butane

Honestly this is cool little lighter knife. It's small but neat little conversation piece. I've heard others say their blade only popped out a few times and didn't work thereafter but so far mine has fired off plenty. It came oiled and as factory sharp as they could get it but that's okay I have a knife sharpener that sharpens all my chef knives & it works well for this little knife. It came with lighter fluid in it, and lights right out of the box. I got the chrome looking one, and I can damn near see my nose hairs in in like a mirror. If you're not expecting anything big and heavy duty but works as advertised this is for you.

Its ok the first time I activated the blade and retracted it the mechanism failed. I also noticed the poor quality in the blade, but as a lighter its great. For $7.95 its a novelty more than anything.

This is the 2nt one that I've purchased from Blade Play and have had really great luck with them. If you take care of it both will last you for years to come.

First off, i got this because it is a refillable butane lighter that actually has a Bic style flame instead of a torch! you'd be surprised how hard it is to find a decent one.

The lighter works well and reliably after being filled and the flame adjusted. although the less patient among you my have trouble ignighting it.

Just before the electronic ignition clicks, it opens the gas valve and starts letting butane out. It helps to hold the button right there where it lets butane out but doesn't spark for a second or maybe 2 before you ignite it. so it has something to light (the spark isnt always very accurate) this especially stands true if there is a breeze or a fan on nearby.

Aside from that i am very satisfied. feels sturdy.

As for the knife.

This is the novelty side of it. it's a lighter with a freaking dual action otf blade in it! do not buy this as a knife with a lighter on it, or you will be disappointed.

I didn't like the plain factory bevels so i put steeper ones on the very edge of the blade and sharpened and polished them to a mirror finish. it looks very elvish now. i love it. It even took a razor (hair shaving) edge. how long it will hold it? i have no clue. but i am intending to use the lighter and the blade is merely for looks/to fiddle with.

All in all, very satisfied with my purchase. :)

The blade is really thin and cheap which is disappointing, if the actual knife was just a little bit thicker this would be a great item. On the other hand its small and compact and for $10 its fine. I can see it breaking in the very near future.
