So I got this knife because it's like grindworx's top-selling otf but honestly, I think for 5 extra dollars getting an atomic defender is much better. I also took this thing apart because it wasn't working ( kind of my fault for throwing at the swing ) but anyway now that I have it working I'm realizing that when retracted upside down it comes off track. like I said before atomic defender 100 times better.

The button is not hard to push up or down.
I have an AKC f16 that's a lot harder to push than this.
This one has almost no blade play. Not loose at all. Unbelievably sharp.
The best OTF knife I have out of my collection.
The blade isn't painted and shines that nice pure 440 sliver.
I couldn't find anything to complain about with this knife. I have more expensive knives than this one, this is a relatively low price knife and it's better than all my high price knives.
One reviewer said his has a lot of blade play.
Mine has almost none.
I love this low-cost knife.
I might buy more for Xmas gifts.

Was a little on the fence about whether or not to buy this one because of some negative reviews but ended up buying it and I wasn't disappointed. I've had it for about 3 months now and no issues with it whatsoever, other than the twangy sound of the spring when you open and close it but is easily mitigated by putting a little grease on the spring. I would confidently recommend and will probably buy a few more later on down the road. Definitely good enough quality for the price.

This is my third lightning. I also have a plain clip point one and a double edged one. This tanto one is a lot heavier and more solidly built, with a much thicker blade and less blade play than either of the other two. The pocket clip has the name of some company on it, so they must have recently bought out whoever was importing Lightnings and made a bunch of improvements. This is a far superior knife to my other two Lightnings. Highly recommended.
