The Kershaw Launch is a powerful automatic with a slim EDC design. The Launch 2 features a CPM-154 steel blade in a stonewash finish. It has a durable black anodized aluminum handle with a push button release/lock and reversible pocket clip made from black coated steel. A custom pivot, red firing button, and a flow-through backspacer add a collectible appearance to the knife.
Customer Reviews
Beautiful! Can’t argue but I think this is an elegant gorgeous knife. Snappy! Yes, perhaps not as arresting a sound as some autos, and maybe that is not a bad thing? Reliable? After experience with classic old world autos, this is clearly better and longer lived than any Italian stilleto.
The blade: supreme! CPM 154 may not be the best steel out there anymore, but it is just a hair below S30V, and this knife came out of the box sharper than any other production knife I have ever purchased. Shaving sharp, with a bit of water, for real.
Excellent knife on all counts and only sorry to see what I regard as the best of 9 models discontinued. Grab it while you can, and here it is significantly discounted. 🔪🔪🔪
Shipping was prompt, packed in a small bubble pack envelope with the knife safe in a box.
The spring is strong and the blade locks in place with authority. There is zero play in any direction once open and the blade is shaving sharp.
The design is classy and well thought out. There is a hole for a lanyard as well as short rectangular holes that run down the spine. When open the lines of the blades spine run seamlessly into the knives handle and the blade edge does the same on the receiving side.
There's the smallest raised portion near the end that helps it from slipping out of your grip and the button lives in a recess which helps prevent accidental deployment.
I've been as pleased with fixed blade knives I've bought in this price range and was reluctant to spend this on an EDC. Still, I had been considering several Benchmade autos at a significantly higher price but I thought I'd take a chance.
Needless to say I'm very pleased with this Kershaw Launch 2. The blade quality, workmanship, design, sharpness, delivery and price for the product are all spot on.
You won't be disappointed with this knife.
