Description

In 2005, Gerber introduced the proprietary blade opening concept - Forward Action Spring Technology - or F.A.S.T. Using one hand, the blade is opened approximately ten degrees, allowing the spring to drive the blade lightening-quick the rest of the way into the open position. This exclusive mechanism was developed by acclaimed Oregon custom knife maker Butch Vallotton, whose name graces one of Gerber's line of Assisted Opening Knives.

This is a decent blade for every day cary. Its nothing spectacular, but the partial serrations and tanto blade make it fairly useful, the steel is also not the best. Personally I would choose a VG-10 blade for the price, but all these things aside it makes a decent, not great, EDC blade. Another thing, the pocket clip is awful, it came extremely tight and was imposssible to clip to my pocket.
