It doesn’t have a spring assisted blade, but has other things going for it. When the blade is locked open, it almost has a fixed blade feel to it. It’s easy to take apart to clean and oil it. The blade design makes it easy to sharpen. It’s lighter then other knives I’ve carried, and has a good blade length. The deep pocket clip, and flat handle, let it stay securely in your pocket. For me the CRKT Homefront is a great EDC.
