Otherwise, I was surprised to see brass washers, a holster, and above all else... A WRENCH! I sure could have used that with my first ccc...
It is heavier than my live blades which I personally like for study but you'll likely feel another level of heavy in the bones of your fingers after a few hours.
I have dropped it a few times in the garage and the finish and structure has stayed true.
I usually take the locks off mine however this spring lock is good enough for now to stay. It is good for latch drops, stays in place yet very mobile.
I did attempt to install a live clip edge blade however the tang pins and their respective spaces on the handles do not allow the handles to close properly, ending up with the classic fu42 wedge look and ineffectiveness. Structural modification of some sort would turn these handles into an interesting mod IMO.
The only issues I find with the curved handles is when it comes to choker fanning and aerials. If you're familiar with the choker fan, rolling the handle around your middle finger can take getting used to. Depending on how you're flipping this trainer, aerials can need more oomph or pop.
This trainer is a superb purchase and bladeplay/bladehq are both decent sites. Thanks
