Yes, this is a really nice side-opening stilleto in the Classic & Traditional European style. A very simple effective LeverLock design. Quite satisfying to snap open and even get a "snap" out of the lock when closing. I can't get that "closing-snap" out of a 6" AKC Leverlock I have most likely due to a shorter spring and only top bolsters in the shorter version. I also have an AKC SpeedHunter that I love! These side-open AKCs are worth it you'll get the quality. It's a seller's market right now so educate yourself about these knives before you spend. The knives themselves will need light oiling. Check your liners inside for moisture occasionally. Store them open to maintain the spring. They are well-made enough to function as a light-duty EDC if you know how to treat a knife.
