The push button automatic action is fast, and there is a sliding safety to prevent accidental release of the blade. The action on the knife is fast and the lockup is secure. To release the blade, simply press down with your thumb on the swivel bolster. For authenticity, the blade tang is stamped "FRANK B ITALY".
