The Mikov 241 automatic knives come from the Czech Republic. This model features real stag scales and a dagger-style stainless blade (one side is sharp and the other is a false edge). The Mikov series is well-regarded for their "ready to work" no nonsense design. Rivet construction. The knife is opened using the small lever near the top of the knife. The lever rests flush in the handle when not in use.

Waited awhile for the stag to be available somewhere. Everything is tight fit and finish is great, and the springs seem reliable in the week and change I’ve had it. The stag horn I received I’m very pleased with. The blade not as sharp as I expected but I’ll work on that. I keep my nails trimmed short and don’t have a problem deploying it. But it could maybe use a bit of tailoring to each user so I might take some handle material off in that area. It’s actually not too heavy for pocket carry but Intended to make a pancake sheath for it, speaking of that the belt sheath/case it came with is ok but the leather just reminds me of Cold War European web gear material. This model is a stylish piece for sure might buy a planer one as well .

All is excellent, shipping, sharpness, stag, springs...
I see that the blade is 420 steel, whatever that means, high carbon? Low carbon? How hard is it? No one seems to know, or answer...
My only qualm is that there is a bit of blade play when open! Always a concern, especially in a $150. knife. My other black Mikov also has a bit of blade play. Perhaps this is normal.
Other than that, it is a beautiful knife!
