The meeting of science fiction and knife tech in an excellently crafted blade, the Viper OTF looks like a design from the future. The double-edged partially serrated spear point blade is made of AUS-8 high carbon stainless steel with a black finish. The futuristic handle is crafted from black aluminum so it's lightweight and easy to manage. To open the blade, switch off the safety lock and press the sliding release forward. The knife opens fast and smoothly, and the lock up is tight. To close the blade, push the small blade release button forward, the slide the blade back with the bottom actuator until it locks into place. The pommel of this knife features a small glass breaker tip and a removable, tip-down carry pocket clip.
Customer Reviews
I've also tried stabbing force tests and a few times the blade just went back into the handle. I understand if you want this knife for carry because you want something that's like an automatic otf but legally you can only carry this, but if you can get automatics then get them instead of this toy.
The people who said Cupid clones are worse than this are wrong. The arrow Cupid clone fires way harder, has a sharper cooler blade, a really solid metal handle and build, and better lockup. The Cupid also has no bladeplay either. I don't mean to bash this schrade viper knife but I feel like it should be more like 20 dollars rather than 40 for the quality. I'll keep it just because it's ok and I'd rather beat this up than an actual good knife.
