The packaging for it was rather sad. It came in a simple cardboard box that just looked like it was doing a disservice to the knife's beauty. However, with that being said it was pretty easy to open and get to the knife. Whether you think that is a good thing or not is a matter of personal opinion.
The blade itself is rather simplistic. There's nothing special to the design really unless you are counting cosmetics, in which case, it looks pretty damn amazing. The blade itself right out of the package is sharp, so watch out if you can manage to get it open.
Ah yes, the biggest issue I have with the blade. I just got it today so it is very possible that it just needs to get worn down, but opening the blade is a pain in the rear. If you don't use it for awhile the opening mechanism feels like it gets stuck and if you have weak hands, you're going to need to use two just to get it open. I also found that I can only open it when using my right hand, but again, that could just be me.
Personal opinion time. Would I recommend this blade? Yes, I would recommend this blade to anyone who is a blade enthusiast. It goes great to the collection. Do I recommend it for anything other than normal, casual use like cutting simple things like wood or boxes open or such? No. The blade is sharp, but it over all isn't that amazing. As a personal defense weapon it could come in handy... but I wouldn't recommend using it. I feel like you'd be wounding yourself in the process due to the opening mechanism being a bit tough. But who knows, the blade I am personally reviewing is new and it needs a bit of wear.
I give it a four out of five. It's definitely a safe blade and I can see how it could be useful for every day occasions, as it is listed for. Good job guys. Even if you did kill my pointer finger.
