Description

Description

The Titan OTF knife represents a great balance of functionality, usability and value. It has a red coated handle with grip inserts, ensuring slip-resistance. The partially serrated, double-edge dagger blade is stainless steel and has a satin finish. The firing button is mounted on the side, making the Titan slim and unobtrusive. The pocket clip is mounted on the back and fastened with a glass breaker tip.

Not too bad, but get a Lightning

I feel like it's silly to post a review on just one of the many forms of Titan OTF, cause there are many different configurations available and they each have their own page. But this is the one I got, the red one with satin nickel blade and serrations, so this is the one I'll review. Basically, to just get to the point, the grippy texture sucks (unless you like gripping #5 sandpaper) and this knife went off track way more than my Lightnings do. My Lightnings go off track about every 100th firing, and my Titan goes off track about every 30th or 40th firing. Just to put that in perspective. But the good news is that the Titan is just as easy and reliable to put back on track — hold the firing button up, and flick the wrist like you're deploying a telescoping police baton and ¡Viola!, it's back on track. Not a bad knife if you're looking for something to open boxes with or cut twine or maybe a workshop knife. This is the kind of knife you want one in your cheap OTF collection or your desk drawer. I gave mine to a friend.
