Smith and Wesson's Special Ops line of knives deliver quality spring assisted action at a low price that won't break the bank. These knives utilize the M.A.G.I.C. mechanism, which stands for Multi-purpose Assisted Generational Innovative Cutlery. The 4034 stainless steel blade is deployed using the thumb stud or the "flipper" button on the spine of the handle and both methods are left- and right-hand user friendly. The Special Ops handle features aluminum scales with grip inserts over an open-built stainless steel liner lock frame. In addition, the handle has a safety lock that keeps the blade closed, tip-down clip for pocket carry and lanyard hole.
The SPECMBSD Special Ops knife has a desert tan handle and a black finished tanto blade with a partially serrated edge. There are three different sizes available: large, medium and small. This is the MEDIUM version.
