While not the "best boot knife on earth" you can't beat the quality for the price.

7Cr17 "High Carbon" stainless steel is a "high-performance" version of 440A. The added Vanadium aids in toughness and edge retention. The 7Cr17 Chinese steel resists rust well and is more tolerant of neglect than higher-carbon steels. It requires sharpening more frequently, but still performs well under adverse (damp/moist) conditions. This can be a great attribute in the field when hunting. In the Pacific Northwest this can be an invaluable asset.

The knife is light and carries easily. If you want a knife for personal defense on a budget, this is a "go anywhere, throw it in a 'bug-out' bag" kind of knife.

Don't let the low cost fool you. It is cheap "life insurance" when the chips are down.

Buy it and enjoy it, or give it to a friend. These are fun knives with a serious side to them.
