These are vintage, German-made knives, and most come with the original paperwork and quality-mark tag. Great news for the discerning collector! (In fact, you may also find the original sticker telling you, in German, where the sharp edge is!)
Made in Solingen, Germany, the Linder "Traveller" Bowie knife has a polished, drop-forged carbon steel bowie-style blade with the swedge extending along 1/3 of the blade. The handle is engraved; at each end of the handle Linder has added a tasteful layer of Cocobolo, red Stamina, brass, and red Stamina again. The pommel is of aluminum, and has a front quillon so the handle is secure in your hand.
The leather sheath is a nice chestnut brown; the back, belt-loop and snap fastener are all of one piece. That, combined with its well-stiched and rivet-enforced design, along with the metal drag (elongated metal tip) makes it durable enough to trek through the woods. In combination with the nicely tooled front, not only is it durable, but also quite attractive as a collector's piece.
Please Note: Because this is a genuine Stag Horn handle, the exact appearance may vary from pictures above.
