These are vintage knives, a great find for any collector!
This particular style of knife has a handle of real Sambar Stag Crown Horn that tapers elegantly towards the blade. (Crown horn, for the uninitiated, means the horn at the end nearest the skull--not as common, since you can only get one such handle per horn.) The smooth, concave ricasso keeps your hand from sliding. The silver-nickel bolsters are embossed; silver-nickel is very soft in color, pleasing to the eye, and the nickel helps reduce the tarnishing which plagues true silver.
