Linder has an entire line of Bavarian Folklore Knives. These are vintage knives, a great find for any collector!
This particular style of Bavarian Folklore knives has a handle of real Sambar Stag Crown Horn that tapers elegantly towards the blade. (Crown horn, for the uninitiated, means the horn at the end nearest the skull--not as common, since you can only get one such handle per horn.) The smooth, concave ricasso keeps your hand from sliding. The silver-nickel bolsters are embossed with an oak leaf design; silver-nickel is very soft in color, pleasing to the eye, and the nickel helps reduce the tarnishing which plagues true silver. The blade is stainless steel with a drop point, filework, and a flat-ground, plain edge.
Along with their variety of knife handles, Linder also carries a variety of sheaths; most are typically only available at additional cost, but we're including these variants at no additional charge (that's how much we love you!). This leather sheath has a metal throat and chape (top and tip of the sheath) with an oak leaf pattern. The most unique feature here is the dainty fork attachment hidden in the sheath. Just screw the fork into the chape and presto! a picnic set fit for a king!
Please Note: Because the handles are of natural horn, actual appearance may vary.
