I purchased the Lightning as an alternative to a "spring assisted" otf knife that I have. My biggest concern was getting the blade deployed if needed without switching a safety off in order to get the blade out. It was a tough choice between this knife and the F-16 but after seeing the following the Lightning had online that made it a lot easier. I received this today and I have to say the fit and finish are solid. And yes, I fired and retracted the blade probably fifty times without failure to make sure it worked. I checked all of the Torx T9 screws in the handle and clip, everything is tightened up right. I'm really impressed with the tan powder coating, not a scratch on it and very little play on the blade in any direction. Nice finish on the double edged satin dagger blade, could be a bit sharper but otherwise I like it. The savings from not buying a high end otf will probably allow me to buy an F-16 lol. Kudos to Grindworx for having a great product.

I bought this knife on my brothers account but this knife is one of the best knives that I own! It’s the only one I’ve gotten from Grindworx, but I’ll definitely come here again for future knives! The knife functions perfectly and I haven’t had a single problem with it. I highly recommend this one!
