My first authentic Italian switchblade stiletto! No more downtown cheapos. Arrived in no box just plastic wrapping. I can't say this was one Frank B's best quality knives, but I'm satisfied. Every handle material (honey horn) is unique in its own way. Everything is aligned. Safety slide is good and tight. Opens firmly, not swiftly, but just right. When I press the button to open it it sometimes doesn't lock into position, which is a downside, but it's not my intention to have it for everyday carry. Most knives on video reviews open with clack like a neck breaking. Each Frank B. knife is different since each is handmade. I'd say the locking sounds and feels better than when opening. I was expecting that real nice firm opening sound. The blade wasn't as sharp as I was expecting. Actually, the blades' edge was rather dull. No problem I can sharpen it.

Comparison of weight between this one and my China stiletto, I'd say the China one is a bit heavier, despite the plastic handle and the fact it's a 11 inch, which downtown knives tend to be 11 inches. The weight on mine is fair for a 9 inch. The tang is indeed engraved with "Frank B Italy, " I know on the picture above you can't quite see it, but it's faintly there. Comparison of blade feel between this one and my China one I'd say the China blade is less thick. I can almost say I can snap it in half with my hands and or on impact (do not attempt). The blade on mine is fairly stiff and strong, e.g., if projected upon impact it wouldn't break or snap on me. I was supposed to buy a Frank B knife for 80 or 90 bucks, but I couldn't wait and only had enough for this one and keep in mind this review is on a 60 dollar knife. Overall, I'm pleased with my first genuine switchblade stiletto.

Very fast, very nice, very tight. I`m quite surprised as to how nice this piece is. The horn on mine transitions from ivory white to a olive green / brown color. It's beautiful.
