AKC 6" Mini Classic Lever Lock Stag Automatic Knife - Satin Plain

I guess the best way to describe this knife is "cute," being smaller, when closed, than your typical BIC disposable lighter.
This knife would comfortably fit into a newer category of knives that I have recently encountered among fellow knife collectors, that of "Gentlemen's Knives." Basically an attractive, small EDC knife that one could easily carry in a suit pocket. This one is perfect for those "gentleman" who still have a few rough edges about them and are proud of it.
It is pricey for what you get but, to my mind, well worth it! I plan to buy a few more as gifts for my "executive type" friends.

This little knife has a classic look and is the perfect size and weight to carry in your pocket while being just big enough to serve as a useful tool. The action is crisp and authoritative, lock is solid, and all feels admirably sturdy despite the small size. However, I was slightly disappointed by the finish of the knife. The edges of the stag handle are cut quite square, and some of the brass pins jutted out creating rough spots in the grip. As a result, it just wasn't that friendly to hold. But -- after carrying it for a few days and deciding I wasn't just going to get used to it -- I softened the edges of the handle with a Dremel tool and took down the pinheads till they blended with the naturally uneven surface of the stag handle, then finished all with a fine grit sandpaper. Now the knife sits well in the hand and looks even better than when new. Well recommended as a utilitarian EDC with classic flair -- with the caveat that the grip is a bit unfriendly until customized.

Great dark gnarly stag. Spring is strong and lockup positive. Needed a bit of lubrication and break in time, but all autos do... Very reminiscent of John Wayne's knife in "Big Jake" .BP SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT AND FAST, AS USUAL!!

I just received my 6" lever lock stag horn. The knife is perfect. I like these much more than the Hubertus knives. Hubertus knives always have something wrong with them. These don't. Like said they always perfect and a lot cheaper.
