Solid knife. It shoots open fast and the lock up is tight. The file work really makes the knife. There's a little crack on the scale next to the button but little flaws like that are expected with a hand made knife. This is over all a great knife, I love it.
Heavy Duty Well Made/Frank B-The Best!!

So far, the finest quality I've seen with a solid lock up. It seems that the knives with file work, bayonet style, and made of stag horn or any other horn are the ones that are the finest made. I have the stag horn with a straight standard blade and that as I've seen has the "boxy type" old school build like the old days. The bayonet/ horn/file work knives on the other hand, have the rough boxy edges smoothed down and have a certain "finesse" about them. Stick to the ones made out of either, stag or any other horn and you'll never question the durability which is readily felt. This particular knife however; seems to be the best of them all though, and I am well pleased!! An occasional drop of Remington gun oil and TLC- she will last you. Avoid back pockets, they put too much stress on the button and safety switch.

I ordered this about a month ago and have had a little time to examine it and it has become the one that sits next to my laptop and not on the wall with the others. The metal is unpolished, which means that it doesnt have a mirror finish BUT there is a small fingernail sized portion by the stamp which IS mirror polished, showing that if you wanted to, you could easily polish this blade to mirror if you wanted to. The issue I have with my mirror finishes is I cant take them down without polishing them for 20 min after I've touched them, this one I don't have to worry about so much so I'm not afraid to handle it. The blade is thick and the spine by the lock doesn't have the twist, meaning it was either forged with the lock or it was stamped out of a THICK piece of metal. There's no sex pin so its all one piece, and they made it extra heavy duty since the spring cant be replaced without replacing the whole spine. This makes for a heavy knife since the blade size matches the spine, and probably why they added the filework which is a nice touch. More utility than a showpiece, but for once I'm not afraid to pass it around and worry about fingerprints or how much the spring is getting worked. Heavy Duty and worth every penny.
