From AKC comes this striking swinguard stiletto. It has beautiful polished Brazilian horn scales that lend it rich detail. The polished bayonet blade and swing guard have an elegant and traditional look. The push button release is swift, the lock up is secure, and the sliding safety helps protect against the accidental release of the blade. Blade tang is stamped "AKC Italy". This is a perfect piece to begin or enhance your Italian knife collection.
Customer Reviews
Excellent customer service. Rep confirmed that this blade was on the latest shipped, and detailed specs.
A. Would not Fire without major work.
B. Rough, poorly finished bolsters
C. Loose safety
D. Banana blade ( curved-didn't seat properly)
E. Nicks and flaws galore.
F. Lousy, loose lock up, once I got the damn thing to fire.
I am shocked Bladeplay does not do a better job QC-ing these knives.
So...I order this one. It arrived with similar issues, but was an overall improvement.
It's a shame that the makers of these knives don't use their materials to craft excellence or even marginal quality knives. These are meant to be collectible and special, right? They are just thrown together. This is the Last time I order an AKC knife. What arrived the second time, isn't worth more than $75 (in my opinion) A little oil, sanding, some cleaning and its overall charm saved it from being returned with a nasty note. Be weary, friends.
