Knife came, and it felt sturdy and didn't feel really cheap. Overall its an okay knife but.... when mine came it was too sturdy and you had to force it to open, so just put oil, and if that doesn't work, check the screws.
Fair purchase

Two worst things about this knife:
1- a chintzy latch. I took mine off.
2- chintzy screws. Half of the knife is locked up tight, the other is falling apart. They do have the thread lock warning on this knife so get some if it is a gift and set it up good.

This is a great knife for a great price, however it was not fit to flip, out of the box. After working it in, it has already cut me 3 times so fingers take caution and consider tape on the blade.

It has also taken a few drops on concrete with almost no effect on the finish. It seemed to loosen the tight side just a bit as well.

If you're not going to use threadlock you might consider carrying a couple star bit wrenches to snug on the go. If not, best keep your eye on the screws and practice where you'll be able to find it if a screw comes out.

Again, a wonderful addition to the collection. Hearty and under 4 oz, this knife made my day. The finish blends in itself while flipping in the sunlight, mine appears more greenish blue even though there are more colors on it. The spacers allow fluid and quiet motion. I removed my latch so mine doesn't really make much noise at all.
There were no instructions, tools, or extra screws in the box. The box and insert where roughed up enough to look like trash so I tossed mine.
I ordered on Friday and was expected to arrive within 4 to 8 days. Mine arrived early on Monday. It was shipped hours after ordering. Very quick service for my experience. I would rate this website 5 stars. I really appreciate bladeplay.com for having such a durable and affordable knife for me to choose. Thank you.
Pretty Good

It's good for the price! Out of the box however, it needed to be oiled. Otherwise, great flipper.

Very poorly made knife. I had it one day, used it probably 20 minutes and the latch broke off three times. The handle broke off the blade which then caused me to lose the screw. Now it's not fixable and usable. Cheap knife. Not even worth $16. Hopefully the service is good enough for me to get a refund

First butterfly knife I've ever bought and I have to say it flows beautifully after adjusting one of the screws since it was too tight. The fade is more vibrant than the picture. For $16 this is a great knife. Will definitely buy another Spectrum flipper.
10/10 would Monarch again

This is the second Butterfly knife I've ever owned, the first being a $100 knife I got at a local knife shop and I like the Monarch better. 3 problems:
1. The blade came in and was very tight (WD40 fixed it right up, now flips like a gymnast)
2. There are 2 holes on the bite handle that had SLIGHT defects (1st hole towards the top and the third hole)
3. The safety was so lose it would get in the way of flipping, but there are screws there so that you can adjust.
AMAZING knife. Cheap knife, not cheaply made.
Great knife

This knife is a great first knife. It is well balanced and flips very smoothly handle play is very minimal. It's fully adjustable. The only downfall is that every one in a while the safe handle will kind of stick to the blade but just move it around for a second and you'll be good. Overall great knife.
