The SCHOTF3S Viper Out-the-Front Assisted Opening knife from Schrade features a double-edge blade with a bead blast finish and a partially serrated edge. The handle is dark gray finished aluminum with a safety, pocket clip and glass breaker. To deploy the blade, simply push on the slider near the base of the handle to get the blade moving and the spring assist mechanism will take it the rest of the way. To retract the blade, release the lock and pull down on the slider to lock it back in place. It is assisted automatic deployment and manual retraction.

This knife has good lock-up in the open position, so you can confidently stab into objects (within reason of course). It's easy to open and close. Very comfortable to carry. The only bad things are the fact that the steel isn't very good and it won't take much of an edge. You can open a letter with it but forget about cutting a corner off the paper.
