Terms and Conditions- use of our website and the purchase of products from our web store constitutes agreement with our terms and conditions set fourth below.
Age requirements: You must be at least 18 to order any product from us. Some items listed on this website may be illegal in your area for possession by those under 21. It is your responsibility to check all local laws concerning the ownership, use and possession of any item on this website. By placing an order, you agree that you are of legal age, that you have read our terms & conditions, and that you take full responsibility for obeying all federal, state and local laws, restrictions, and regulations!
Credit card orders: We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. We do not accept Paypal.
Money order and check orders: We gladly accept all types of money orders and personal or business checks. Checks take between 5 and 10 days to clear. Please contact us to make sure the item you are interested in is in stock. Send checks or money orders to:

International Orders: If you would like to place an order from Blade play and you reside outside of the USA please contact us directly by emailing orders@bladeplay.com. Shipping costs vary and are calculated at checkout. You can click HERE for more information concerning international shipping. International purchasers assume all risk of loss, theft, or customs seizures (we do our best to help out when we ship items internationally though). International orders may take up to 14 days to dispatch, as more preparation is required for them.
Errors on this site, Server downtime and Site Updates
Because we are only human we make mistakes. If you snag a great deal that has been labeled $2.00 instead of $20.00 we are not obligated to honor that price. Your order will be canceled and you are invited to reorder the item at the correct price. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we aren’t Santa.
We do not host our own site, therefore periodic downtime is out of our hands and unavoidable. In the event that you are disconnected from our server while trying to place an order, please contact us to make sure the order did not go through before reordering.
We will update the site when we are able. Because site development is ongoing we encourage you to email us with any ideas or suggestions. We will take them into consideration when possible. As a general rule we’ll try and update the site at least one time each week.
Knife Operation & Warranty
Our guarantee/warranty is that you will get a working knife- if you don't we will repair or replace it at our discretion at no charge. If your knife arrives broken, do not try to fix it yourself (unless you know you can- in which case you need to keep it). We will not replace knives that have been "fixed" by the buyer.
Returns and Exchanges
As of Feb 18, 2004 our return policy has changed due to some abuse of our previously overgenerous system. All orders after February 18, 2004 will be held to this new policy. Returns are accepted, as long as they are done within 10 days (we feel this is enough time to determine if your knife is in operational order and to decide if you wish to keep it). You are responsible for shipping the knife back to us in like-new condition (or the condition the knife arrived to you in*). There is a 15% restocking fee to off set lost shipping and credit card fees and labor costs. Once we receive the knife we will issue a refund. Your refund will be issued in the medium your payment was received (i.e. if you paid with Visa, your Visa card will be refunded the order price less 10%). Please note that we do not reimburse shipping costs (unless the mistake is ours and the buyer requests a refund). Exchanges are welcome as long as they are done within 10 days. There are no restocking fees or additional charges for an exchange. Again, you are responsible for shipping the knife back to us in like-new condition (or the condition the knife arrived to you in*).
*Please be aware that some of our budget knives are shipped in bulk and may not be cosmetically perfect (small scratches are common). Still, we aim to please, and you’re welcome to send it back and have us pick out a better one for you. Who loves you? Right- we do.
Change and Cancellation Policy
If you order the wrong item (s) you may change your order up until the time the order is shipped. Once an order has been shipped if you wish to change an item you must follow the guidelines in the return & exchange section (above).
If you would like to cancel your order you may do so up until the time the order has shipped. Once an order has been mailed you must follow the guidelines in the return & exchange section (above).
You can contact us about a change or cancellation via email or telephone (801-768-2303). If you choose to send an email you must use “order change” or “order cancellation” in your email subject to make sure the email is directed to the correct department so the change or cancellation can be implemented before the order ships.
Shipping information
Shipping is done via the USPS and in some cases via UPS. Delivery time varies depending on your location and we make no guarantees about delivery time (just helpful estimations).Generally all orders are shipped out within three (3) business days (free shipping) or 24 hours (priority shipping). In some cases delays are inevitable and shipping may be postponed. International orders usually have a lead time of 14 business days. We purchase delivery confirmation for all USA orders- this is not tracking information. It is to assure that your order gets to you. If you wish to obtain the delivery confirmation number for you order simply email us. There is no tracking or delivery confirmation available for international orders. Attention international customers: If you order is seized you must mail, email or fax a copy of your seizure notice before we can take any action.
Privacy Policy
No personal information (names, addresses, email addressed, telephone numbers, etc) gathered off our website (from forum registration, orders, newsletter subscribers, personal communication or otherwise) will be given, sold or distributed to anyone without permission. Your full privacy is guaranteed. However, by placing an order with us you grant us the right to send emails with website news and special promotions. You may unsubscribe from these emails at any time sending us an email.
Auto law & Legal Status Terms
IN COMPLIANCE WITH FEDERAL STATUTES:
Read carefully all conditions set forth below.
By placing an order with us, you agree that you meet any or all of the following criteria.
Federal law prohibits shipment of automatic knives across state lines, with the following exceptions:
(1) to civilian or Armed Forces supply or procurement officers and employees of the Federal Government ordering, procuring, or purchasing such knives in connection with the activities of the Federal Government;
(2) to supply or procurement officers of the National Guard, the Air National guard, or militia of a state, territory or the District of Columbia ordering, procuring, or purchasing such knives in the connection with the activities of such organization;
(3) to supply or procurement officers or employees of the municipal government of the District of Columbia or the government of any State or Territory, or any county, city or other political subdivision of a State or Territory; (4) to manufacturers of such knives or bona fide dealers therein in connection with any shipment made pursuant of an order from any person designated in paragraphs (1), (2), and (3).
Blade Play will sell no such knives to any individual outside the State of Utah without the above conditions being met. This does not apply to automatic knives manufactured and sold within the state of Utah.
Legal status of products
It is the responsibility of the buyer, not the seller, to ascertain, and obey, all applicable local, state, federal and international laws in regard to the possession, and use, of any item purchased from Blade Play. All equipment is sold subject to public law 90-351, title III, U.S.D., Section 2511, and any local, state or federal ordinances. Consult your local and state laws before ordering if you are in doubt. Absolutely no sales to minors. By placing an order, the buyer represents that the products ordered will be used in a lawful manner and that the he/she is of legal age. Blade Play will not be held liable for the misuse of any product purchased from us or any of our distributors & dealers. Also as no product is 100% effective against attack, Blade Play assumes no responsibility if a product purchased from us is not effective in preventing bodily injury, dismemberment or death.
Anyone attempting to falsify information or defraud our company in any way, will be turned over to the proper authorities. Any attempts at extortion or entrapment will also be met with swift legal action!
